I've taken Stadol and Ambien...but never together.

DO NOT take the Stadol after the Ambien without consulting a doctor about that. Give your doc a call. They can tell you how long you should wait to take the Stadol.

When I've taken the Stadol first it knocked me out and then no need for the Ambien.

Stadol can be highly addictive and I hope you are using it cautiously.

Be well and PF,
lionsound

I use Stadol and Ambien because I work third shift. My Dr. knows I use Ambien to get to sleep but has never said anything to me about not to use it at the same time. It affects people in differant ways and we are not all the same. Stadol works every well for my clusters and migraines.........And yes it is very addictive. I go off it for 3-4 months at a time. Please talk to your Dr. about using the two together.

God bless, PFD's

Stadol is not recommended in pain management!! According to the American Pain Society as of 2004!

I can't find a link to provide you right now. I have the guidelines in front of me.

I serve on the pain committee at the medical center I work for.

You can't mix it with any other classes of drugs
It is in a class of drugs called agonist-antagonist.
If you take it with another drug it has a narcan-like effect. (Cancels each other out)

And yes it is very addictive. It causes hallucinations in a lot of people, sometimes unpleasant, not cute and fuzzy ones!

I would do ANYTHING to abort a CH so I can't tell you not to try something that has the potential to help you.

Best wishes for shorter cycles and longer PF time!!
