Title: Flying Post by Kim Y. on May 12th, 2005, 11:03am In about two weeks I will be flying to Montana and there is going to be one stop in Denver from KS. I am worried about my CH. It is still going strong. I know that I need to ask the airline if it is ok for me to take my Imitrex injections on the flight, but the question I have is do I warn them that I might have an attack on the flight so they don't freek out??? especially if we aren't at the appropriate altatude to get up and race to the BR. Any suggestions? Sorry about the spelling. Thanks...................Kim |

Title: Re: Flying Post by vig on May 12th, 2005, 11:13am You can talk to the flight attendant as you get on and I bet they'll be happy to accommodate you. |

Title: Re: Flying Post by marfanoidus on May 12th, 2005, 11:21am Well, thats assuming that you make it through passenger screening with the trex - needles are a big no-no. You may want to call the airport and talk to someone in the passenger screening area. Odds are good that you're not the first person they will have seen that needs to take such meds with you on flight. Get their advice on what to do. Also, you will want to call the airline and talk to someone about your problem. I'm sure they will do what they can to help you, but it will behoove you to have a foreknowledge of their policies. And, you may want to call ahead to the airport from which you will be returning, because different airports handle passenger screening differently. good luck to you, walt |

I will take all your advice and If I can't have the Imitrex I can always see what my doctor can prescribe for the flight instead. I have an appointment before I go. ::) |
