Hey guys, Been awhile, I just wanted to share what has been working for buzz, fingers crossed. hes on Verapamil, 180 1 daily, and now for 3 weeks this Valproic acid250 1 daily then an increase 2 daily. This med as written on bottle too stop chs.... after 9months of chs he then fell into months of shadows since taking VA250 there gone as she takes a deep breath, and never underestmates this horror sob called chs,. I dont know, but so far so good. MY PRAYS AN LOVE TO YOU ALL CHS AN SUPPORTS SNOOK

just wondering if anyone has ever been on valpoic acid 250mgs, and does melotonen really work as sleep aid, buzz still not sleeping!!!!! thanks again snook ps if yes to the med va250 notice any side effects, hes not been on more then 2 ,3 weeks..... thanks guys hey nani girl

I am allergic to Depakote :-[ but am so super happy that you found something for you that is working.

Hi Snook ;)

In your first post in this thread you said Valproic acid 250 two times per day is working for Buzz. That's GREAT but that dose seems way low according to Doc Brightok, who says the dose range is 1000-2500 mg.

In your second post in this thread you ask about Melatonin and the side effects of Valproic.

Read the following article by Brightok. There is a paragraph on 4th page titled "Vaproate" that describes dosages and side effects. There's a paragraph on the 5th page titled "Melatonin".

Be sure he has blood tests to check the level of the VA. It can be toxic.

Fantastic news, I really hope it continues doing the right thing for buzz.
