Post by skyboy on Apr 6th, 2005, 3:17pm
The last 2 days I been haveing CH attacks every hour they only last 15 to 30 min. all the years before I only got 3 to 4 a day that lasted 2 to 3 hours. is this something common or is this changing on me.

From what I remember from your intro thread you indicated that you were going to try either melatonin or kudzu.

If you have tried them (speaking for the kudzu in particular) a change in your cycle behavior can be expected. Read through the kudzu thread and you will see kinds of cycle aberations (most of them good) from sufferer's normal cycle behavior.

I can't speak to the melatonin if that was change you made.

But I guess the best question is, have you done anything different this cycle from other cycles?

No I haven't done anything different it seems each attack gets a little stronger than the last. always before they were the same. I haven't tried the melatonin yet I've had to take flexral the last few nights which knocks me out for the night

what's the weather like where you are?

I know Spring pressure changes can affect
the cycles, making them "worse"

last summer there was a batch of thunder storms
that start a cycle for me in august....
I have had this for 7 years and never had
a cycle in August... but go figure.

keep the journal, and hang in there....

the weather has been rainy the last few days but all the years I've had CH the weather never seemed to affect it. If some of the meds you take can do it I did drink a few cups of cayenne tea that took almost all the pain away instantly could that have been a factor in getting them so often?

Question???? What is cayeene tea?  I don't think I've tried that (and I thought I'd tried everything).

The weather (rain esp) makes me get hit harder and more often.

Let me know about the tea....

Prepare the tea by pouring 1 cup (8 ounces) of boiling water over 1/2 teaspoon of powdered cayenne; mix well. (http://www.wholehealthmd.com/refshelf/substances_view/1,1525,765,00.html)

Bugger that. Try a bowl of my chili.

cayenne tea is just cayenne pepper a teaspoon per cup of hot water it works on pain quick but doesn't last I think that is why I was haveing a CH every hour I stopped and now its back to normal. I learned to let my back pain go and take the pain pill when I get a CH and it works good that way.
