Title: I've Heard Of Like'n It Rough, but.... Post by De_Minimis on Apr 4th, 2005, 7:49pm Wow. Last night, just minding my own business sleeping while my wife was reading in bed with her little book light, then WHAM-O! Someone unseen came into our room and punched me in the eye as hard as he could. I think he cracked a bat against my skull at the same time. Hate it when that happens. I worry my kids are learning a whole new vocabulary (subconsciously) while they sleep. Brain transplants: Anybody try them? I think I'm going to get on a list. Perhaps architect or rock star this time. |

Title: Re: I've Heard Of Like'n It Rough, but.... Post by Kris_in_SJ on Apr 4th, 2005, 8:08pm Those night hits are the worst, for sure. When I'm in cycle, I sleep in the spare bedroom to spare my wonderful hubby the worry and sympathetic pain. Of course, my little Imitrex pharmacy is right next to the bed for speed of relief, and the Melatonin seems to help later in cycle. Hang in there. PF days and nights are hopefully on the way. Hugs, Kris |

Title: Re: I've Heard Of Like'n It Rough, but.... Post by Mr. Happy on Apr 5th, 2005, 2:54am Those night time nasties are not cool. It's one thing to ramp up, and adjust as necessary.......but waking up in afterburner mode is truely unsalutary. Never had `em till my last cycle, and that was the straw that broke the camel's back. It's Totally Justifiable Paranoia. RJ |

Go for the rock star. Believe me, being an architect doesn't pay worth a sh*t. Hope you're having a better night tonight. |

Title: Re: I've Heard Of Like'n It Rough, but.... Post by Marta on Apr 5th, 2005, 9:36am Hya, Stop the CHs and get me a rock star. Ooh, sounds good. Last night had 3 of the little shits. I took the first Imigram shot at 3 and thought ok. Got woken up at 6.30 and suffered for about an hour. Back to sleep 'till 9am and thought too bad, have another shot, I know it's meant to have 12 hours inbetween but too bad. Slept 'till 11.30 and got up feeling a bit cottonwool-stuffed head, but at least the little monster is giving me 12 and a bit hours sleep (hopefully). I really hope you get some CH solace soon. Take it easy if you can Marta |

Title: Re: I've Heard Of Like'n It Rough, but.... Post by De_Minimis on Apr 5th, 2005, 1:51pm Twisted my neuro's arm to write a script for Verapamil. Now, one night does not the tale tell, but I went "cluster" free for the whole evening. I had this weird almost cluster for a few hours, but it was not a cluster. Same location (including that pain in the neck, behind the ear), but never crossed over to a cluster. It was a headache (not a shadow, I don't think). Finally killed that with Imetrex. Will update my progress on the Verapamil. My fingers are crossed. Hey, where's my A Clockwork Orange picture?? |

Title: Re: I've Heard Of Like'n It Rough, but.... Post by RichardN on Apr 6th, 2005, 9:48pm Have had three night hits in the last week, but my trusty 02 is always in reach . . . . taking a little longer though . . . . but probably because I've been so exhausted most of the time, takes me a little longer to wake . . . soo . . . .longer to abort. You have 02 yet? Not a problem to kill in minutes during the day . . . .at first sign of ha. The "dance" is the exception, not the rule. Be Safe, Richard |

Title: Re: I've Heard Of Like'n It Rough, but.... Post by De_Minimis on Apr 6th, 2005, 10:00pm You know, I'm gonna make use of this BS. I'm in a photography class. I have to take a self portrait. I hate self portraits. I was thinking last night as the beast was massaging my brain with battery acid and twisting my eyeball about 180 degrees, disturbed and distressed people often create some great paintings of what they experience. I can't paint my wife's toenails. I'm a logic guy. Then it struck me. I'll set up my camera to capture a pic of me when I'm enjoying a late night cluster. I imagine it won't be the greatest picture, but worth a try. Who knows, it might be such a compelling work that it will get published and ultimately motivate the scientific world to find a cure...... Hey look! There goes the Easter Bunny! |

Title: Re: I've Heard Of Like'n It Rough, but.... Post by ExplodingEyeBall on Apr 7th, 2005, 9:28am Night time hits used to be the only way I ever got hit. Up till recently, I never got hit during the day. This cycle, I haven't gotten hit at night but during the day and evening. It is almost comforting to have them ramp up and adjust accordingly Like Mr. Happy said instead of waking up at 2:00 A.M. with a screaming head. |
