Title: NUCCA - upper cervical chiropractic
Post by bigAl on Mar 26th, 2005, 9:40pm
Has anyone else ever been to a NUCCA method chiropractor.  I've read several old posts on chiropractors.  It seems most experience is similar to mine...some relief but nothing permanent.

After several different chiropractors and massage therapists, I had over four years nearly pain free (after 20 years chronic CH) after seeing a NUCCA method chiropractor.  Now the headaches are back worse than ever.  Visits to my NUCCA guy definitely relieve tension, but the night visitor still comes.

Anyone else ever see  a NUCCA practitioner?

Chiropratoc did nothing for my ch or migraines at all. But it did wonders for some bad sciatica and sports injuries I had. Osteopathy gave me some relief for my headaches but not completely. I think it helps common headaches or stress headaches but nothing for migraines or ch. That has been my experience.

For the most part, chiropractic will not help with clusters.  In a few people, there may be cervicogenic ('neck generated") triggers.  But many people here have tried chiropractic and very few have reported good results.  I go more frequently when in cycle, as my neck gets very sore (refferred pain, muscle tension).  So my neck feels better, but my personal beast is not afraid of chiropractors.
