Title: Fresh Research - Clusterhead POV
Post by floridian on Mar 7th, 2005, 8:40am
Finally!  An article suggesting that most doctors don't know what a cluster headache is like, and they don't really try, but should.

Quote:
Curr Pain Headache Rep. 2005 Apr;9(2):120-5.

Cluster Headache from the Patient's Point of View.

Loder E.  Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, 125 Nashua Street, Boston, MA 02114, USA. E-mail: eloder@partners.org.

The medical literature provides few opportunities for physicians to read and reflect on detailed, first-hand narratives of individual patient experiences. The author invited patients with cluster headache to respond in writing to a series of open-ended questions about their experience with the illness. The patient responses provide important information for physicians and others who seek a more complete understanding of cluster headache.

;;D  My guess is that person that wrote that article doesn't need them - but others do!

Gimme some addresses, then. I'll crank out some very graphic email to these folks on what the pain of a cluster headache feels like.  ;)

I think some policemen get 'tased' with a stun gun as part of their training with the tasers....

I recommend we 'tase' some doctors... in the eye...
So they understand.

(I don't really recommend we do this.)
