I was wondering if any other CH sufferers never get brain freeze? I can eat a bucket of ice cream as fast as I can and nothing, I have never had brain freeze, ever. My husband thought maybe it's cause I have CH?
I was just curious if it could be related?

I've never had it either...I always thought it was strange that I didn't. I've had cold things that make my throat freeze and hurt...but never my head. [smiley=huh.gif]

Me to my chest hurts and throat but never a brain freeze this could be interesting?

also drinking a Slurpee down too quick will freeze up my brain.

Drinking a slushee from Sonic to fast will definitely cause brain freeze for me.

Had plenty of brain freezes when I was younger - Dairy Queen's Mr. Misty frozen beverages are good for that. Gave those up a few decades ago.

I sometime compare brain-freeze to a cluster headache when explaining it to others... imagine an incredibly intense brain freeze that lasts for an hour, and invades your jaw, temple and forehead. That usually gets them to wince and cringe a bit. Not a perfect description, but it is something that most people understand.

Good choice, Floridian. I'll try that one, next time. People just can't seem to fathom that it's like someone plunging a knitting needle into your eye and digging it around for 40 minutes, several times a day. Their eyes just sort of glaze over... LOL
