Title: Doc visit
Post by wolf29 on Feb 15th, 2005, 8:53am
Well I got in to see my doctor and had a really nice visit with him....unfortunately but fortunately I haven't had a HA for about 1.5 weeks!!  But I was very prepared thanks to this awesome site.  He said it sounds like the start of cluster headaches...like I said my worst HA has been maybe a kip5.  He told me as the years go on they could get worse but hopefully we caught it in time to at least help suppress them a little when they do come on so I don't get them to bad.  He would like me to come in when I start having them again so they can do some head scans just to make sure...said I can call him anytime of night and he will come in to see me.  Also when I do start having them again we will get me started on medication and he will also consult with a neurologist in the meantime just to make sure of his diagnosis.  So again thanks everybody for all the wonderful Info you guys have on here!!!  I'll keep ya updated.

Cool Beans, Wolf, but don't quit printing yet. Just in case he's off target, have enough info to back up a rational pursuit. Diagnosis is one thing, treatment is another.

We'll all be at this for a while,
RJ

Wolf... Great that you found a doc that is willing to listen to you.  That is a GREAT first step.

At the start of a cycle, I personally will have one small one a few weeks before, maybe, they usually increase in frequency and severity, cresendo with frequency and intensity and then subside.

For me, with clusters, I never get just one out of the blue.  When I get one, I know I've started a cycle.  But everyone's different.  Stick with us, Wolf, we're your best resource.  Seriously, and good luck!

Wendy
