In my half asleep stupor, loading a trex shot so I can take it out and do the trex tip, I accidentally hit the button, and there went one whole 6mg dose, all over the place. Terrific. Now I have one shot left, with only 2 doses, because I had to take some just now, 12:15am. And I cant get anymore until next week because of my &^^^&% insurance.

Gonna be a fun couple of weeks ::)

Bummer indeed. Sounds like it's time for plan B.

Do you HAVE a plan B?

Hey Kristen, My doc gave me some samples of some other triptans like Maxalt to tide me over until I could get Imitrex again. They are pills so don't work as quickly, but did offer relief within 20 min. Could he do that for you? dagger

Good advice dagger....BUT.....don't mix triptans within a 24 hr period...it could be very dangerous.

SFD-----with relief only a shot away. I have never taken a shot of imitrex, but the pills help alot. I know its hard to think when under the controll of the beast, and I bet ya never waste a hot shot again. I have found myself on the floor looking for the pill I lost.

once i shot two full vials of trex across the room.......

My husband jokingly said, " you could go and lick it up."

I had half a mind to try. :-/ lol

anyway, i was able to get more when i explained what happened to my pharmacist...he said those injectors don't work right anyway, that they are working on a redesign, and gave me more trex!:o :)How cool was that? I couldn't believe it. Maybe worth a try for you?

If not lots of ice on the head is good too!
