Have been in present cycle since Mid-October---Week before Thanksgiving started Prednisone/Verapamil... Had alot of sleepless nights when I started the Medications, but for the past two and a half weeks I had only one wake-up call !! During the day my left eye still feels sensitive and the temple area is slightly sensitive. Petrified to start having an alcoholic drink before dinner, will not eat chocolate, no peanut butter , Still Smoke ( but that never bothered me ) . I am so Damn afraid to even think of having a drink , until I am positively sure that the evils are gone !!!I always had a Rum-Coke with a Beer as I cook the family's meal....I miss it, but just don't know when to go back. Believe me I would rather do without the pain, than have a drink. Chocolate I can always do without........My nero wants me to continue taking the meds until January 17th which is my next visit.......Oh the psychological Pain of it all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get a second opinion. I certainly would consider advice from any of the Julio-Claudian dynasty emperors suspect.

If you hve to ask then it's not time to start drinking. You'll know when you are ready. Take it easy. Glad to read you are on the downward slope of it all.

I agree with Tom. If it is a trigger, then avoid it until you know you are out of the woods and have been safe at least a couple of weeks.

Thanks guys---I am in no way going to even tempt myself with any of the triggers.....I had a klondike bar the other night and there were the shadows...So I came to the realization that NOT YET !

Chocolate is a major trigger for me too. Can't go near the stuff and hubby won't let me have any even when out of cycle! (The bastard)

Isn't there something in the Constitution or Bible or somewhere that says it's illegal or BLASPHEMY (good word, thanks Linda).
