Title: Wrong Impression... Post by Cerberus on Dec 26th, 2005, 3:32pm In my resonse to a recent thread, I am afraid that I may have conveyed the wrong impression to some of you. I feel I must clarify my position in this matter, I however don't apologize for my statements. 1. I DO NOT denounce or discredit anyones particular belief structure or religious conviction. The things I said were merely an attempt to bring some perspective and hopefully some uncommon knowledge to the original theme. Faith in general is a powerfull thing, for many it is an anchor in a world filled with constant trials of human suffering. I appreciate that. 2. I am NOT athiest... if anything I am more of an agnostic leaning toward Bhuddism... I have my reasoning. 3. I DO hope you all had a Merry Christmas, and consequently DO appreciate many of the "Traditions" associated with it. I rather like the concept of peace on Earth and Good Will toward men, and it is rather comforting to boot... however unlikely it may be in reality. 4. I wish all of you a Happy New Year... we suffer under the same malady Cluster Headaches... a common bond that has enriched all of our lives in one way or another. May the Year to come be prosperous for you all, and bring with it as well a cure...or something similar. 5. My views are mostly historical (although "history" is a word I hesitate to use because of its litteral composition) HIS-STORY suggests a one sided oppinion based on partial events, and usually can only be regarded from one perspective... those of whom are in political control and what THEY want you to think. I dispise that concept. 6. I EXPECT to recieve some heat for the things I've stated, and having said that. Say what you will, my position remains firm. If I offended it was not my intention to...please refer to the above comments. 7. CH sucks...I can't say this enough 8. Welcom to all who are new, and to those who arent... hi! :) 9. My resolution this coming year is as always " I firmly resolve to not make any resolutions...again." Paradox? Possibly. 10. I enjoy reading all the differing views, and like you, make no apologies for what I believe or practice. We do all want the same thing: "4. My mama used to have a saying, "You go to your church and I'll go to mine." It can mean a lot of things, but I think it's appropriate here. No offense should be taken to anyone having a differing opinion than anyone else - we're all different (gee where have I heard that one before.) Peace on Earth is a great concept. That's one I think we can all agree on. Religion is up to each individual. I don't believe everything I hear in the church of my choice, but I still believe in the basics, so where does that leave me? Guess I'm just a rebel at heart.... Happy New Year and let's all work together to beat these damn headaches. I'm at about a 5 right now and have to go to the airport to meet my German son and be cheerful and bright.... I could just scream at this damn beast for visiting today of all days. But I'm smiling and I WILL be cheerful if it kills us all. Wonder what the hell I put in that damn dressing????? >:( Hugs BD |

I asked you to enlighten me because I love to hear everyones ideas as far as religion goes... My son Sean told me the same information in a similar fashion the other day. Merry Christmas, Happy CHanukah, Kwanza, Ramadan,Festival of Lights.... Whatever you call it ~Whatever you call HIM... its all about love.... the comercialism is what ruins everything.....
