Title: Guitar Hero Post by Rock_Lobster on Dec 25th, 2005, 12:05pm Oh man... one of my daughters gifts... I cannot put it down. This thing is so wicked. I have not a shred of musical talent, but man... this thing makes one feel as if they are jammin. The track list is 100% rock. My fingers are raw after two hours of tearing it up. This one would get my 'suitable for adults' rating. PS2 is required. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000BU8YA2/qid=1135529970/sr=8-2/ref=pd_bbs_2/104-0906297-2117535?v=glance&s=videogames&n=507846 http://music.ign.com/articles/663/663809p1.html |

Title: Re: Guitar Hero Post by Rock_Lobster on Dec 26th, 2005, 1:22pm Tell you the best part about this, other than it being so f'in fun... My daughter likes the normal music that 11yo girls are big on. The boy-band of the month, Hillary Duff (who is not an f'in musician), that kinda shit. So this morning mom is yelling at her because she has her TV cranked to this game... playing (and abso-fuckin-lutely loving)... Fat Lip Cochise Iron Man Smoke on the Water Infected Take Me Out and unlocking another half dozen kick-ass songs every hour She already has me out on eMule downloading them all... wiping out the SHIT she currently has on her MP3 player. Makes a father proud. |

Title: Re: Guitar Hero Post by Carl_D on Dec 28th, 2005, 3:20am That is too cool! I remember the days when my 14 year old neice listened to the most putrid stuff in the world. (Hanson, Hoku, Moffats, Britney Spears, etc.) Now she listens to My Chemical Romance, The Used, Rush, Black Sabbath, Lamb Of God, and a bunch of emo stuff. While I find most emo to be crap, she does listen to some good stuff. I freaked the other day when she showed me her startup song on her myspace.com page. It's one of mine. Former - The World Behind. *snif* I feel so honored! We gotta get together bro. I'll show ya how to play a few chords on a real guitar. Kudos to your kid for listening to respectable music too. Rock on! Carl |
