Thus is life in a call center.

Unscheduled intervals are docked from one's pay. One minute to the men's room; one minute for relief (I don't rinse since I don't pee on my hands); and one minute back to the headset. When you take a blood pressure medicine with a diuretic, sometimes you need to go, scheduled interval or not.

Three minutes = 48¢. Time to cross my legs and pray for lunch.

(And, if anyone posts verses from "Here I sit, all broken hearted...," I shall personally burn your lawn!)

Michael, this is really from an actual monthly performance
review:

Jennifer was counseled on past month-ends to be sure and enter all exceptions in a timely manner. This will ensure that her compliance is always maintained at an acceptable level. Also, Jennifer needs to improve her Schedule Adherence. (I stuck to my schedule TO THE MINUTE-93% of the time!)

In other words: I didn't write down and record my pee breaks enough and I was out of compliance .
sheesh, they monitor everything!

You'll be paying a lot more if you get sick from not washing your hands!! Still germs...still must wash hands. You touch a keyboard - does anyone else use that besides you? You might rub your eyes or eat food.

Take the extra second and wash your hands!!!!

I'm only saying this because I care....

and because I'm a nurse....

Anything I previously wrote comparing my former job to yours in stupidity stories? Forget about it. I refuse to (effectively) pay to Pee. Either my company affords me time to defecate and void, or my direct superiors get wet shoes and have to call Hazmat to clean up...

THAT IS INSANE...

Perhaps they could consider catheters at each work station.

I'm guessin' that smoke breaks would be out of the question!

And they wonder where unions got their start! Good Grief!

I have to agree. In fact years ago, I threatened such a event (and was fully prepared to make good on said threat) if a fill in wasn't dispatched to relieve me for a trip to the rest room. New hire managers are a PITA.....and such fun to mess with. ;;D

Jasmyn, Lizzie2 and Grandma: You have just earned me $15.00. I had a bet with another CH person. Who would focus on the hygiene as opposed to the insanity of the regimented call center life? Jennifer got it because she has been there as have some other of our CH brethren.

We are missing one person whom we expected to post, or I would have made $20.00

I do know how to wash up. Occasionally. I bathe regularly, mostly on Saturday nights. Sometimes I wait until Sunday. Don't be downwind on Fridays.

.48 say... x2/day=.96x5=4.80x52=249.60/yr.

Less Social Security tax, Medicare tax, Federal tax, State tax, local tax, health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, 401K...and 250.00/yr for pissin'... Seems as though you may be able to apply for some sort of economic assistance..?

I'd of been fired in two hours..........piss on it Pam

I had a job when out of high school workin in some dumb plastics factory......had different jobs they'd move ya to off and on. I ended up rubbin stickers on frisbee's......now if that ain't a fun job I dunno what is......BOREING......stood on cement floors for 9 hours doin that. I got static in my hair REALLY bad from it and kept brushin the little hairs away from my face that were flyaways makein me ITCH like hell doin so. I got a talkin to by the boss that was TIMEING me. She said I could of sticker'd so many more frisbee's an hour if I had not wiped at my face so many times in an hour. She was counting !!!! And I quit !!!

By the way......I work at home now and am 'elf' imployed......yeah I said elf......tryin to show sum Xmas spirit. Piss on that too................................... :P
