Title: I think I beat it..... Post by ExplodingEyeBall on Dec 16th, 2005, 4:34pm Not that!!!!!! I'm talking about the nicotiene habit. I've been smoking since 6th grade and I am now happy to see that at 4:00 P.M. this Saturday, I can celebrate one solid month without cigarettes. This has been one of the hardest things I have ever done especially since I drink coffee and chain smoke when ever I get hit and I am slowly working back into a cycle. The worst part is that I'm gaining weight so fast that my pants are getting stretch marks. I guess the new years resolution this year will be to lose some weight. I'm not kidding....... 17 pounds and still going. I'm starting to look like Buddah. |

Title: Re: I think I beat it..... Post by Jimmy B. on Dec 16th, 2005, 5:24pm Congrats man....It's a very hard thing to accomplish and one month is definitely a milestone. I hope I can follow your lead very soon. I still enjoy cigarettes too much, but the cost and such are becoming too much. Great job...keep at it. Jimmy |

Title: Re: I think I beat it..... Post by JenniferD on Dec 16th, 2005, 5:46pm Congratulations! What an accomplishment!! You should be very very proud of yourself, an month is a long time and quite a milestone. :) I'm with Eric and Jimmy on this one- want to quit too, so does hubby.. you guys wanna give it a try together? we already support each other thru hell, so we know how to do that. :) And the weight thing: This past year I lost a total of 35 lbs and have NO intention of putting it back on- I like my bikini way too much. Takes good diet and exercise and that should also help with the non-smoking. EEB, why not join the Fitness Challenge? , I think its discoveryhealth.com |

Title: Re: I think I beat it..... Post by Charlie on Dec 17th, 2005, 2:19am That's terrific. That's indeed a milestone. I know, I've been there. Good for you, your friends and family. http://www.kolobok.wrg.ru/smiles/standart/yahoo.gif?SSImageQuality=Full It's incredibly hard to stay off the things but now you can look forward to having more cash and becoming an anti-smoking PITA. Of course I'm still the sweet and lovable old bastard that I always was. http://www.netsync.net/users/charlies/gifs/furious.gif Nice going! Charlie |
