sorry for the poor quality. Cardinals are skittish so I had to take the pic through the screen window so as not to scare her. The daddy was there too, but his pic didn't turn out very well at all.

Cardinals are one of my faves--I think because they are the first to start singing again in January or February. You have reminded me that I need more birdseed (blizzard coming in two days) >:(

Cardinals are a cool bird, but have a very short life span, less than 1 year :-/

We get a lot of Cardinals here. The smart ones stand outside and yell at me to let them in out of the below zero weather. http://subscribe.smileygenerator.us/all/albums/hats/cold.gif

Didn't know they were so short-lived. Are they in Europe too?

That's our state bird !!! I didn't know they had such short life spans tho.......you sure that isn't cuz of all the cats and windshields also in Ohio Pam
