Title: Re: ? about the women Post by LeLimey on Dec 11th, 2005, 12:05pm Svenn I won't go out shopping at weekends, I go when its quietest if I go at all at this time of year as people are EVIL >:( I've had my crutch kicked from under me and told to "get out of the way you effing cripple" more times than enough. I don't need to put myself through that :( |

Title: Re: ? about the women Post by pattik on Dec 11th, 2005, 12:11pm Jeese, Helen...people really CAN get nasty can't they? I avoid the busy times too, because I have little patience for big shopping crowds, and this season is the worst. Around here, I can ususally find quite time if I go during a Packer football game, LOL. ;;D |

Title: Re: ? about the women Post by Charlie on Dec 11th, 2005, 2:48pm It's the Sex and The City Gene. Shopping is where women lose any sense of fair play and men know better than to join in because they would wind up in debtors prison or a hospital. http://www.netsync.net/users/charlies/gifs/pacman.gif It's not for the faint of heart. http://www.netsync.net/users/charlies/gifs/nailbiting.gif Charlie |

Title: Re: ? about the women Post by BobG on Dec 11th, 2005, 3:16pm You men are a bunch of sissies. Do like I do. When she says "Want to go to the Maul and do some shopping?" I say "Hell no! You think you're married to an idiot? I have better things to do than fight a crowd of angry women. I'll be right here working on the hot rod, thanks". Six hours later when we get home I'm too whipped to work on the hot rod. :'( I gotta get a life. |

Title: Re: ? about the women Post by yikes-another-one on Dec 11th, 2005, 4:15pm Hey, finally an advantage to marrying someone who is claustrophobic.... can't pay me to shop after Thanksgiving or before January 20th.... too many people = danger, danger! Besides, home grown cash is better than sentencing loved ones to a "returns only" line... never fails someone forgets a recipt....ugh. ::) "Condemn them and lets move it already!" heeh heh |

Title: Re: ? about the women Post by purpleydog on Dec 11th, 2005, 5:02pm I HATE shopping. This time of the year, I go in, get what I want, and get out. I don't look around. Luckily, this year everyone wants gift certificates to various places. Easy, easy easy. Should take me one afternoon, and that's mostly drive time. |

Title: Re: ? about the women Post by burnt-toast on Dec 11th, 2005, 6:42pm I think it all goes back to our Hunter/Gatherer roots. While males were out hunting females were gathering up and hording all the stuff they could find. It's all rooted in our instincts for survival - we're only doing what nature programmed us do over the centuries. We can't help ourselves. Tom |

Title: Re: ? about the women Post by sandie99 on Dec 12th, 2005, 8:25am People must be more civilized back here, because I have never had terrible shopping experices. And I don't hate shopping at this time of the year. But then again, I do shop for Christmas all year around, so there's never panic involved. :) But Helen, I belive you 100%. People pushed me a lot already at Tesco/Sainsbury's back there in UK. I'm sure that people would push me back here in some special sales, but I tend to avoid them or go there very early on the very first day. Sanna |
