Title: Re: Duct Tape Post by Karla on Dec 9th, 2005, 11:49am Reminds me of when my twins where around 8 or so. The one, Joshua, would not be quiet. His twin Anthony got mad at him and duct taped him. Then brought him to the top of the stairs(3) and rolled him down to the babysitters to deal with. They were besides themselves when we got home. We had fun removing that stuff. Terrible. They still remember that and talk about it now and then when he acts up. |

Title: Re: Duct Tape Post by cootie on Dec 9th, 2005, 2:28pm We have a roll of duct tape in all the vehicles includeing both bikes saddlebags.....a quick fix it for all occations. We had a routy friend pass out at a anual Xmas party several years back so we stood him up to a pole and duct taped him to it with a blow up santa clause then we added toilet paper for color and trim. He kept mummblin while we did it and had no idea what was goin on. Dam he stood there a long time before he figured it out. Dam was that every funny !! There's a school that has a fashion show of all duct tape and the kids design a couples outfit all made out of it......they have it in colors now too and camo plus neon. It was pretty cool what they came up with.......stuff looked like real outfits from a distance. Duct tapein people to chairs when they pass out at a campout is FUNNY too as long as ya don't all forget about em and go to bed. Taped up and no place to go Pam |

Title: Re: Duct Tape Post by Redd715 on Dec 9th, 2005, 2:31pm comes in handy for dealing with unruley children too...but pulls the paint off the wall when you finaly let them down... [smiley=laugh.gif] cuz I obviously can't type. |

Title: Re: Duct Tape Post by Charlie on Dec 9th, 2005, 7:30pm Duct tape is the only thing holding the windshield on and keeping the drivers dry on bus #1193 here in town. Actually, it does such a good job that nobody complains about driving bus #1193. Duct tape, in its current manifestation, bears all the indications of alien intervention so until then, http://www.netsync.net/users/charlies/gifs/tfhat.gif Charlie |

Title: Re: Duct Tape Post by Drk^Angel on Dec 9th, 2005, 9:22pm I remember a time when duct tape could tape just about anything together. Now it seems like it's all crap. Got a roll the other day, that barely sticks to itself. Anyone know of a good brand of duct tape and a store where I might find it? PFDAN.............................. Drk^Angel |

Title: Re: Duct Tape Post by Drk^Angel on Dec 10th, 2005, 1:02am I wish my dad still worked in construction... Construction tape is right up there with aircraft tape (or 1000 mile/hour tape, or whatever the Hell that military duct tape is called). If I don't find some good duct tape soon, I'm afraid my van will completely fall apart. Besides... It's been a while since I've had a duct tape gray car. PFDAN.............................. Title: Re: Duct Tape Post by Melissa on Dec 10th, 2005, 12:08pm Right now I'd like to duct tape the beast with about 4 M-80's to the back of my sister-in-laws fat ass and light the fuse. >:( |

Title: Re: Duct Tape Post by BarbaraD on Dec 10th, 2005, 12:34pm My son grew up with McGuiver so we've always had duct tape around. It will fix anything.... My grandson has a "plastic" dump truck (I think I paid $5 for it two years ago). He's riden it and ridden it and the only thing holding the darn thing together right now is the silver stuff. Don't think there's another place to put any, but he'll get that dump truck out with all the "expensive" toys gathering dust. KIDS!!! Hugs BD |

Nashua makes good duct tape. It's a little higher priced, but worth it. See if there is a store around that caters to the sheet metal trade, HVAC guys, etc. They'll have the GOOD duct tape there. Those guys don't use crap. ;;D |

I can remember when duct tape was used for, get this, duct work! That was a long, long time ago. Before it became a play thing and fashion statement. It was even made of metal back then. Not like the cheapo cloth crap today. |

Title: Re: Duct Tape Post by Charlie on Dec 10th, 2005, 3:29pm Probably shouldn't rely too much on Dollar Store duct tape. The stuff I use isn't the best but it came from one of those mega hardware warehouse stores, I think. Over here of course, our shining lights in Washington tell us that if we have plastic bags, duct tape and a lot of water, we can hold out against biological warfare. http://www.netsync.net/users/charlies/gifs/nailbiting.gif Can't hurt of course but shock therapy is needed down there. http://www.netsync.net/users/charlies/gifs/wire zap.gif Charlie |

Why can't it be used for clothin', and fixin' stuff at the same time... Haven't ya heard how beauty contest winners keep themselves look perky in those tiny evenin' gowns? Title: Re: Duct Tape Post by Charlie on Dec 11th, 2005, 3:09pm A little piece of duct tape on the sharp edge slide of the pullout for my keyboard has saved me lots of grief.
