lightning struck... my pc is gone :(

So if you guys don't see me often for a while or only shortly ducking in and out, I'm using another pc, that's not available to me all the time.

Have to go to SA to go get new motherboard, power supply and UPS, so it might take a bit of time.

As I said before, someone should invent pc running on gas ;)

Oh Borrocks Jas, thats no good :( I hope you're scheduling a trip again earlier than you WERE planning now! Drop in when you can 'cos it won't be the same without you around here

That's a real bummer......dam !! I lost one to that same thing few years ago even with a surge protector. Insurence did pay up on it tho which SHOCKED me. Zapa-looser Pam

No insurance Pam but my pc fixed I'm gonna get!

Can't breathe without you guys. I'll just have to get as much surge protection as I can, with all the power dips and lightning here [smiley=huh.gif]

The only material thing that matters to me is my pc and this is only because it keeps me in touch with you guys.

Going to SA this weekend to smuggle meself some parts or even a new pc back. ;;D

I watched a show not long ago that said most of our 'goodwill store' clothes get sold to co's that pack the stuff and sell it to Africa to merchants that set up along the streets and in towns. Stuff we donate.......found that very interesting. They said Levi's are most popular ! Love the show Liveing with Tigers and In the Lions Den tonight all filmed in Southern Africa.......me with my cat fetish and all. The tigers were introduced onto a reserve and raised by humans and taught to hunt. Really cool. Hope ya get a new PC or yours fixed !!! Africa trivia time Pam :)

I'm with ya Jas...I think my computer has been replaced by aliens, investigated by the FBI, hit by lightning,
hotwired several Atari 2600's, and occasionally spits out a 286 number spurt, not sure what it is... ;;D

Back up & running here as well. Maybe the two of us can stick it out or have a race to see whose machine craps out frist (I vote for mine to go, lol. HD is dying).
