Title: Cluster question! Post by LadyElaine on Dec 4th, 2005, 11:09am Have any of you fought a cluster so hard, that after wards you were just so wore out you fell asleep where you were instead of going to bed? I do this a lot when I get hit and can't get the pain down and have to fight extra hard. It wears me out to the point when the pain is gone, I just fall asleep where I am. I have fallen to sleep sucking o2 and being on my knees and my head on the floor. Buddy is use to finding me asleep on the floor. Last night it was cold outside and I feel asleep on the porch. The cold never brothered me. Just wondered if I am the only one that does this. |

Title: Re: Cluster question! Post by Opus on Dec 4th, 2005, 12:33pm Yes, when the hit is down to the point that I can navigate I get the couch. Falling asleep outside in 10 degree or less temps could be deadly. If I am hit at work I will sit down so I will fall over and wake up. Opus/Paul |

Well at least that way, you can't fall any further. ;) It's the falling asleep with a cigarette going that would worry me. I pretty much manage to stumble my way back to bed or couch. |

Title: Re: Cluster question! Post by unsolved1 on Dec 4th, 2005, 12:42pm Unless it's a night time hit, I don't go to sleep afterwards. I try to press on with the day even though I'm exausted. UNsolved |

Title: Re: Cluster question! Post by LadyElaine on Dec 4th, 2005, 1:11pm These are night attacks. When I wake up there are a kip 10 hard to get the pain down. I been real lucky as far as my day time. I don't seem to be getting hit except at night. Wakes me up with unreal pain. I get on the floor and rock when I have a cluster. I always have. I have this fear of falling, I am kind of off balance when I have them. Plus my eye waters so much it clouds my vision. I am already tired when waken at 2 am and then have to fight a hour or more just drains me. Have you ever felt like you were afaid to move when the pain stopped. Some times I am almost afraid if I move it will make the pain start again. |

Title: Re: Cluster question! Post by Callico_Kid on Dec 4th, 2005, 7:24pm I used to, but have found that if I will just stay up until the last one leaves at about 2 I can handle the pain better. I can't handle waking up to a bad one anymore. jc |

Title: Re: Cluster question! Post by Charlie on Dec 5th, 2005, 12:45am I could never go right back to bed. After spending time banging the kitchen chair against the wall, I moved to a recliner and passed out for awhile....most of the time anyway. That's how I discovered that sleeping there would sometimes eliminated one attack at night. Charlie |

Title: Re: Cluster question! Post by burnt-toast on Dec 5th, 2005, 5:58pm Absolutely been there and done that. Fighting off the tough ones drains everything out of me and I often wake up wherever the last one left me. Tom |

Me too, I tend to get most of my hits during sleep so by the time I'm awake they're in full swing and the pain is so intense - don't have to tell you that - by the time it's easing off my body hurts from rocking and I just fall alseep in that position - usually up on my knees on the couch. Sleep is what I'm beggin for by that stage. And of course it makes it easier for when the next one comes around - don't wake up anyone as I stumble about getting the hot water bottle :-/ Kate |
