Title: Afleet Alex...and coincidences? Post by Lizzie2 on Dec 1st, 2005, 1:21pm http://news.bloodhorse.com/viewstory.asp?id=31220 The fourth big paragraph down is very significant to me...the horse is being put out to pasture due to Avascular Necrosis of the condyle! I have avascular necrosis in both condyles. The horse raced in the Kentucky Derby, which is where I was born - Louisville, Kentucky. My dad ran in the Kentucky Derby marathon when I was 5 months old. The horse is from the Philadelphia area. I'm from the Philadelphia area. It's named after a kid who had cancer at CHOP - Alex's Lemonade Stand..... Odd.... Oh and...my first word ever was "horsey" :) Very odd... |
