Title: This is just frickin ridiculous Post by Gator on Nov 28th, 2005, 2:10pm Yesterday, 70's with winds out of the south at about 30+ mph - some gusts to 70 mph. Today 30's with winds out of the north at about 30+ mph - gusting to God knows what. I think Kansas and Texas are having a contest to see which one sucks the most. :o [ducking] Hi DJ! Hi DD! |

Title: Re: This is just frickin ridiculous Post by high_commander on Nov 28th, 2005, 2:58pm The Canadian contingent is checking in here..... I invite anyone to venture here in January, the last two years we have reached -53 and -58 with the wind chill factored in. And the schools were open and almost everyone showed up for work. -42 isn't that bad without a wind, but with.....oooh yuck. Would love to venture south anytime....weather it sucks or blows...most of the U.S. is warmer than home in January. Danielle |

Title: Re: This is just frickin ridiculous Post by Gator on Nov 28th, 2005, 3:05pm Well, hell. Just heard reports of flurries. 70's yesterday - snowing today. WTF ??? Donna, we're so seriously behind in our rainfall that we've been under a burn ban for quite some time. I haven't been able to burn trash for more than a month. Even with all the warnings, some idiots still throw their cigarette butts out the window. Had a brush/grass fire about a mile from here last week. I'm glad the winds were out of the south. Been the other way around, some houses and livestock might have been lost. Too bad you didn't stop by. Jane made her homemade turkey and noodles. Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm Nothing better than homemade noodles. LMAO Everyone. Battening down the hatches and looking for my ruby red work boots. |

Title: Re: This is just frickin ridiculous Post by cootie on Nov 28th, 2005, 11:26pm We had about 5 inches of snow here in Ohio last week at this time and we even stayed HOME for a change for Thanksgiveing it was so wicked cold and windy out (I loved the stress free holiday and I got to cook). Then today it is super windy and rainy off and on but got up to 70 this evening and we worked outside till past dark......goin back to the 30's by later this week I hear with flurries. I remember a time when summer was summer and winter was winter Pam With this wind and liveing in between all these hills I sure hope the trees hang on......makes me VERY nervous.....oh and lets not forget that big power lines run OVER my house ! :o |

Two days ago 58-60 degrees, rainy avg. wind. Yesterday, lower 50's windy as hell, drizzle on and off. Today... f*ckin' nasty wind, flurrys and temps in the mid 30's to mid 20's.
