My buddies house burnt up pretty bad last night. The kitchen, living room, and hallway are all trashed from fire, smoke, and water. He was in his room on the computer when he heard glass breaking. He barely made it out (and took in alot of smoke on the way). He's now homeless and looking for an apartment.

Just a reminder: Please be careful this holiday season (and all year round!)

What happen'd....did he get fire bombed or sumthin......ya mention'd he heard glass break ? Really sad to hear about it.......sad is bad Pam

He heard glass breaking cause the fire blazin' the dishes in the kitchen cabinets. It was a grease fire on the stove that started the whole thing.

Sorry to hear about your friend... :'(

Hope things work out for him, he's been through enough.

On a side note, just replaced all my smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors, aparently they wear out after about 10 years. (?) Fire scares the bejeebers out of me.

Sorry to hear that. My neighbor had his nearly new house ruined in a fire last fall too. He's still putting the finishing touches on the makeover. It was a real mess. I can't wait to see it when it's done.
