I’m one big mess!

For the last 3 weeks I’ve been getting this weird pain under my left armpit…like an ache that comes and goes. It’s been gone for a week and now I’ve had the same ache for 2 days. It can be bad enough at night that it’s hard to sleep. It feels like a spasm and when at it’s worst, I feel the ache underneath my left breast too (no pain on my arm or anything that feels lumpy)…now my shoulder and neck are all stiff and spasming too – I’ve had spasms before, but this is excruciating. I feel like my shoulders, neck and back of my head are all one big knot. Sometimes the spasm is so bad I feel it in my face… :-[

I know it’s all from stress from work and family - Calgon take me away…!!

Anyway, seeing my doc later today and hopefully he’ll give me something to relax these muscles - then I need to get a massage! Anybody up for being my massage slave? I pay well. :-/

I’m praying the whole pain under the armpit is nothing worse.

Any prayers/vibes would be greatly appreciated…thanks!

Vibes to you, sis.....and if you don't have one, get a heating pad for your upper spine and neck. I use the kind you can put in the microwave. You sound like you have some serious pinched nerves. :-/

I don't want to alarm you but I work in Cardiology. Heart problems often have very unusual presentations in women and especially in young women. Get an ECG for peace of mind. Just my two cents. Hope you feel better soon. :-*

Here's a prescription for lots of [smiley=hug.gif] & lots of donuts. Just for giggles, get an ECG, please. It'll take a half hour of your time, and it's better safe than sorry. (and then maybe some raspberry-filled and crullers to take the edge off...) ;;D

Too bad that I don't live closer... I've earned nicely over the years from giving my relatives shoulder massages. They tell me that I'm pretty good. :)

I know a few people who would be willing to massage those aches away for you. Now.... Where did you say it hurt???

Seriousely. Talk to a doc just to be on the safe side.

And then have a couple donuts. ;;D

Just got home from the doc...the ECG was normal.
So Saturday I have to go for blood tests and a mammogram...I had an appointment for one in 2 weeks and he pushed it up.

He gave me a muscle relaxant for the spasms. He gently touched one spot on my neck and I quickly became a big spasm :-/ He thinks I need physical therapy or weekly massages; Gordo babe get the oils ready... ::)

He's not sure what the pain under the armpit is, so we'll see if the blood tests or mammogram show anything...if those come back normal, he'll dig deeper. I thought infected lymph gland too, but wouldn't that cause fever?

Will keep you posted...thanks for the prayers.

Have you had any serious accidents in the past ? Jus wonder'd cuz I have something very similar to that but I had part of my chest wall torn and about got my arm ripped out of socket being drug by a horse hanging onto the lead rope as he ran off till my shoulder clipped a big truck bumper. Cracked a collar bone. Tore alot of stuff at the base of my head and shoulder area and it even showed up on my last mamagram not long ago where there's tearing. One boob swells cuz of it when it flares up and I feel like I have a big sword stuck into my neck down thru my spine. Spasm's galore and pain under my arm but my shoulder goes out too for a while. Evil kan-coots-vile Pam :P

Not necessarily. If your immune system is handling an infection, you may have swollen lymph nodes without a fever. When your immune system starts having to work overtime to produce white blood cells, or your system is starting to get overwhelmed, that's when you begin getting a fever. Keep us posted. the lump i had under the right arm and another place
lower on the body. was blood poison from a deep
cut and trying to fix brake lines in a 67 ford pic up.
but i was so sick

Frank is right Langa. The lymph node system is odd. Back in 2001 I had 4 lumps that were caused by some type of infection (one was under the arm).

Hi girlfriend...

I get muscle spasms like that often and usually it's just from sleeping in a cockeyed position...I hope that's all it is for you. Enjoy the muscle relaxers and keep me posted!
