Hats off to those who served, continue to serve, and have laid down their lives for their fellow countrymen.
Alot of military in my family, including my father (Air Force).

Peace and God Bless,
Carl D

*BTW Jimmy, Audie Murphy was like a God to me after seeing "To Hell And Back" as a kid. He was quite the staple in our household.

In Flanders Fields
By: Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, MD (1872-1918)
Canadian Army

IN FLANDERS FIELDS the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

They Shall grow not old,
As we that are left grow old;
age shall not weary them,
Nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun
and in the morning.
we will remember them

WE WILL REMEMBER THEM.

To all those who have died in the just cause of freedom and liberty what ever nation and whatever cause.

I salute you. I will remember you and the price you have paid for freedom.

When I was a kid, we all thought my uncle was the greatest thing since sliced bread. Africa, Italy and Pacific. Whew.

Thanks to all our vets...including all the guys wearing their 7th Division hats at McDonalds this afternoon.
