That kid looks so young too, how cold blooded and callous though. What a terrible thing it must be to be a parent of a child that turns out like that. |

There has got to be a more descreet and sensitive way of reporting this kind of news. It seems to me that media goes out of its way to sensationalize these occurances ... thereby giving troubled youth around the States another "option" for resolving their problems. I would think if the media could be more delicate on their reporting of such happenings, we'd have less teens apt to follow this path and become "infamous and attention seeking" youth. Contrary to belief, this thing was not unknown, but news of such things took longer to reach the whole country when it was read in newspapers....in the 19th century, it could take many days and newsprint works as a filter. It is horrible to see this stuff as it's happening and then see copy cat happenings the next day or so. What has happened to the world. We NEVER had a gun safe nor did we HIDE guns. They were stored under the bed (as my parents did). All our friends did the same. Our kids never bothered them (they knew better). Now my son locks his guns up, but mine are still under the bed as always. I still say you TEACH kids NOT to play with the damn things. But it has to begin at home. My prayers are with all the people in TN right now. Hopefully it will end there. Hugs BD |

Their remains were found under some fresh cement he claimed to have poured for a "patio extension". Every time I get on the freeway, I drive past the site where they were murdered. The house has been torn down, it is quite valuable development property, but noone around has any desire to build anything there. 3 yrs later, one can still drive by the site and find fresh flowers, a candle burning, new stuffed animals...... I'm sorry, Mark. It's all very hard to fathom, but I know in this community, noone will let anyone forget....and somehow, I think it will be harder for something like this heinous crime to reoccur. These events are the product of some twisted minds, and you are soo right, Mark....it's sad...... Cathi :-/ |

I found no less than 243 (!) stories, mostly the same copy from an Associated Press feed in every newspaper around the world including but not limited to China, Israel and Australia. There was a local radio talk show that was doing live on-air interviews with some of the other students at the High School within minutes after the shooting while the school was still under "lock-down" The students were using their cell phones.
