Was at the GP earlyer today and he was kind of pissed at me when i told him that i have over the last mnth been using 134 shots of trex.

Did ask him for an option.

I dont have it Svenn he said but its way to much trex you are using.Wish i could give you more morph he said but i cant do that either.

Any advices on what to do will be highly apreciated

Svenn have you tried the frovatriptan or zomig? I only ask because they lave a longer half life than the trex.
That is a terrifying amount of trex hon, we need to find an alternative for you and thats for sure.

Svenn, they generally don't recommend more than two full doses in a 24 hour period. Considering 30 days in a given month, that would be 60 shots. 134 shot and you are using over double the exceeding limit which is very hard on your vascular system. Are you taking Verapamil and can they crank that up a notch or two?

Ask your neuro for alternatives. I may be wrong, but I don't think any for of triptan is good for someone who has had heart issues. Just when you think the beast can't get more cold and calculated, he has an ace up his sleeve called Nitroclycerine which welcomes him with open arms.

Just be careful Svenn. You are a very wise man, though I know all too well how pain can distort your rationale.

Maybe it's time to give Kudzu or Clusterbusters a try?

I'm wondering why the Doc said he can't up your dose of Morphine....Are you at a dose that is uncomfortable for you?

There is not a ceiling limit on morphine and the only reason for a halt of dose escalations is side effects. If you're not getting serious side effects from the amount of morphine you are on...and it is helping in between the trex...then there's really no reason why it couldn't be escalated by a small amount.

So, let's explore........you've done the duragesic patch... you didnt like it coz it was morphine......so you went off of it. It didnt make you addicted, and it didnt damage your heart.

The rule that says only 2 a day with 12 hours between goes back when GSK did develop the trex and they did set the daily dozage as low as that bc they are afraid for the lawyers and that they did not know enough about the product.

The neuroes over here says today that the 2 a days goes for migrainers and NOT clusterheads.We clusterheads need to take what we need to have a so called normal life "Anyone know what that means? "They also says that trex does NOT seems to be as bad for the heart as first expected.

134 shots a mnths is only 4-5 a day and thats way inside what the neuroes here says its safe

The "worldrecord"is a swed that takes 32 shots A DAY for mnths.
And im NOT trying to beat that if anyone think that.

The professor did tell us that at the symposium we had.

This is rather typical for me when the winterseason starts

it still seem a lot to me Svenn,

we are limited to 20 shots a year here.

Doesnt oxygen help?

Tis. a lot my friend but then you Norwegians are a stubborn bunch. In fact as I type this, I'm watching a PBS special on the sinking of the ferry carrying Nazi heavy water from Vemork. It looks like they trying to dredge the thing.
