"I understand that your wife knows how to cure headaches".....someone in town said to my hubby today.

Don't I wish...LOL....

Seems I've become sort of a local expert. The principal at the school where I teach is always asking me about the latest in headache news.

At my OB's office a few weeks ago I was talking to one of the assistants while making my next appt. I commented that I couldn't pick a certain day because I had a HA specialist appt..and the conversation took off...
This woman gets migraines and dx cluster migraines that once, when she went to the ER, finally went away with O2. I asked her who her doc was(someone I'd seen and not returned to) and said she should try and get a script for the O2 and a new doc. I saw her few days ago and gave her piles of HA links/info to read. She was thrilled.

Well, as I was giving her the info the lady in the next desk over was listening and said, "My husband has Clusters we have a giant Oxygen tank at home. His sister just went to MHNI." I wrote down the CH links, showed off my bracelet (bringing her one next time), and gave them to her too.

Pretty neat, huh?

My husband laughed at the comment that was said to him, but the woman was very interested to hear what I know. She is very well known and respected in town. It just brings to light the lack of proper care and knowledge of docs and the need for self knowledge about whatever type of HA you have.

We are our own best advocates.

Most of what I know, or have become empowered to discover springs from all of you here.

If I could cure headaches.....that'd be some draw for the next convention. ;;D

Well hon you may not cure headaches but you certainly have the most contagious case of "smiles" I've ever seen.. just being around you makes them spread like wildfire [smiley=hug.gif]

good work. I bet you made lots of people with CH feel a lot better! :)
And you're right; we are own our best advocates. That's why people who I meet will have to bare a CH presentation in some point... ;) The more people know about it, the better.

We should all take your lead. I'm just sometimes too frustrated to explain and leave them be with "headache".
