Title: CH Family on Power Play ... They SCORE!! Post by Dave_Emond on Oct 26th, 2005, 4:11am Hellooooo to my wonderful family here! For soooo long all of you have been praying, sending vibes and support of all types in definance of what has looked like a losing battle for my future. It's about time all of you can feel that this support is not in vain. You all have kept me fighting against all odds and I wouldn't be here today without your faith and strength to let you know of some good news. (Real quick background for those who don't know the strength of this family: I fell very ill in 2003 with an undiagnosed disorder ... suggested ALS. Doc OD'ed me on Prednisone, tapered me off incorrectly, did no proper follow ups, hence my immune system shut down. Thyroid shut down, then with massive medication, T3 shot off the charts.) Well, I saw the doc Saturday and had a blood test to check my Thyroid again .... results .... NORMAL!!!! This is one huge step forward! I have no doubts that all the prayers and support I've gotten from all of you were heard by God, and He listened! So, one major step for the better. Still a long list of physical problems that need fixin', but what a start! I just want to let you all know how much power we have as we work and care for each other here. Thank you all so much! Future? Will be going to a GI to see just what is wrong and how it may be fixed for more of my inards. There appears to be problems with swallowing and some sort of intestinal blockage, that's our next step. Meanwhile ... I'll start seeing a Pain Management Doctor for the Chronic CH and 24/7 pain from rapid muscle degeneration, muscles also separating from bones, insomnia, never ending shadows, etc, etc ... too long a list to write. But, together ... we beat at least one major area, and with your continued support and prayers, I believe I still have a chance to live. Annette, my family, my friends in Clusterville (including those of you I haven't even met ...yet) have all been so willing to give of their time to pray for me, I just had to share with you that it really means something and my appreciation is beyond words! Speaking of words, there are so many of you I'm far behind in contacting, please be patient with me. I'm still going day-by-day (or hour-by-hour) and in no order trying to get personal talks or letters to those so close to me. Hope this note makes each of you feel better and let's you know just how much power we hold together as a group with so much in common and care for each other. Thank all of you so much ...
