Title: Everybody is an Expert
Post by kimmeesue on Oct 25th, 2005, 2:55pm
I live in a small rural community where the hospital is staffed by 2 MDs an RNP and 2 PAs.
All of them have dealt with my clusters through the years but one of the PAs always referred to my HA by the "M" word.  I let it go.
On my last trip to the ER, lo and behold, she walks into the room and starts talking about my "clusters".  Huh?  Did I hear her right?  Oh, yeah, unfortunately, I did.  Because, in the middle of a Kip 10 she wants to show off her newfound knowledge.  Does this happen?  Does that happen?  Have you tried this.  I wanted to say "for God's sake go ask the janitor, he knows more about my history than you obviously do"
It would be like me reading a recipe and thinking I'm suddenly a ****chef.
AAAHHHH!!!!

Actually she is really sweet.  But as Helen said, her timing sucked.
It always irritates me when anyone becomes an instant expert.  Give me someone who admits they don't know sh*t any day.

Yeah, it's great when people say, "Yeah, I have really bad headaches too."  My blood pressure goes up and I walk away before I blow a gasket!

Apparently, there are still a few finer points of the Anger Management Course that require attention, so get your moneys worth.

Heck. Sunrise is enough to piss me off.

Just like saying to an tuberculosis patient...... " Yeah, I had a really bad cough once, but I took some nyquil, knocked it right out."

tell her you tried rubbing a lemon peel on your forehead but that it didn't work. but then, you're sure she already knew about that one from her medical books.  ;)

That's a classic! If I'm dealing with a hit on the same time I really, really want to hurt that other person... >:(
