My little grandson (4) had his tonsils out this morning. Hard on Granny. He just got drunk and was happy as a little toad.

I just left him and he's still drunk (and happy). Granny got him some water colors and he was trying to paint and could barely hold his head up.

This week he's Granny's little man... his Mom is going back to work after tomorrow and he's not supposed to be around too many people the rest of the week, so he gets to play with Granny all week.... (yeah, like Granny ain't lookin' forward to it).

Anyhow just thought I'd let you know.... I really think it's harder to see the grandkids get put to sleep than it was with his Daddy. Maybe not.... that was a long time ago.

I agree. From one Granny to another - it totally sucks seeing grandbabies in the hospital for ANY reason. When Princess Savannah Banana had her surgery at three weeks of age, this old Grandma had a pretty rough time with it. There's just something about seeing your baby's baby hooked up to tubes and such. :(

Glad to hear your little man came through with flying colours, Barb! Now you get a fun week of spoiling and lots and lots of ice cream and jello! Enjoy every minute of it. Give him a cuddle for me!

Sending Caleb lots of hugs and cuddles from here too Barb. So glad to hear the surgery went well. Like Margi said - lots of ice cream and popsicles - oh yeah, and a new Power Ranger or something wouldn't hurt either!! ;)

I was four too, still an oldest memory. The only pretty nurse was the one who put the knockout mask on me, I saw her for about five seconds.

Time to stock up on ice cream and Popcicles Grammy. What a sweet way to sooth that sore throat of his.

Better yet let him help make home made popcicles...hands on medicine...wooohooo what kid can resist?
