It's a good thing, yo!

In my insomnia induced drunken stupor, I sat fiddling with my piece of shit Atari-wannabe computer and guess what I did?

I GOT A RECORDING STUDIO PROGRAM TO WORK! WOOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

I even got it to work in multi-track mode, and fixed a couple of other probs with the line in and mic inputs. And it isn't skipping. Right now, I am listening to the first song I have recorded in a long, long, long time. It is just vocal and guitar, but it was just a test. The one thing that has hindered me from recording is having a machine that would run the program (Adobe Audition - 128 digital tracks w/ multi-effects plug-ins).

I have spent the past year in a deep state of loss not being able to record and work on music, and was starting to think I may never get to do another recording again - while my fingers will still work. This is the most important thing to happen to me in a very long time.

The sound quality is great - though my voice is shot from no sleep, too many cigs and a chestcold. But my grin is ear to ear - stretched so wide it hurts. Catchy little tune I just made up too. Short, sweet and....

I am happier than a shriner getting a lapdance!

I really feel for you, Carl. I have sleep problems too, but nothing that compares with yours. I wish you luck with getting back to some good sleep patterns. [smiley=hug.gif]

I'm hoping like all get out when I get home this evening that I collapse for at least 2 hours. That should hold me over another 2-3 days. [smiley=worried.gif]

About tempted to get a fifth of anything on the way home and down it to try and induce a good 6-7 sleep. With my luck though, I'd still be up all night and worse yet, have vodka or rum shooting out my nose and throwing on Neil Sedaka albums all night. The thought of either event makes me wanna [smiley=hurl.gif]

Headed out the door, grabbed trex so I am still a bit coherent.

I been fallin asleep around 3:00 am then awake at 5:00 am.....then alarm goes off to get Brad up at 5:45 am but lately he has been gettin up about 15 minutes earlier on his own. Then when he leaves I MAY fall asleep a few hours by 7:00 am but usually off and on stuff. Then I am EXHAUSTED. I have weird dreams in the morning. Dreamnt I looked in the mirror and had dark roots.....WTF is that all about ? I have white and silver roots maybe but not dark brown. So in the dream I was upset I let it go that long and it looked nasty and needed to fix it type WORRY. Wonder what the new ambiean cr is like.......been seein commercials for it. With regular ambien I am only gettin a few hours but at least I will finally fall asleep but I just don't stay that way. Pooped in the am Pam

Hope you get some good ZZZZs Carl. No sleep aids help you?.....or is it a cluster induced insomnia?
I have tried most of the popular prescription sleep aids, most dont work on me. But little ol melatonin in the OTC section is like a gift directly from the heavens to me.
