A thought crushed my mind you could say the other day, and a line popped in my head- I expounded on it during my sleeplessnessessess this a.m.
It's a bit different for me.

Everybody Wants To Walk On Water

Everybody wants religion, but forget that God is boss
Everyone wants salvation, but never count the cost
Everybody wants to be the leader, but won’t admit when they are lost
Because everybody wants to walk on water, but nobody wants to hang on a cross

You know that all of us get dirty, and some still need to wash
It’s hard not to get sweaty, when this life is one big mosh
Everybody wants the gold, without all of the mess and dross
‘Cause Everybody wants to walk on water, but nobody wants to hang on a cross

I said we all want success, We all want to be cool as Jack Frost
Everybody wants a happy life, without tears, suffering or loss
You may gain everything in the world, but your soul it may cost
‘Cause everybody wants to walk on water, but nobody wants to hang on a cross
