Title: Cheap and desperate advertisment ... not CH Post by Dave_Emond on Oct 18th, 2005, 10:18am Okay... I've lowered myself to a post like this, but maybe, just maybe someone knows someone who knows, etc ... Well ... our buyer had to back out because they couldn't get financing to buy our home. If we don't sell this house soon, we'll be ... uh ... :-X Price says $149, but we reduced it to $145. Can't figure why it hasn't been snatched up at that price [smiley=huh.gif] Even if no one is interested, that's fine. But, you may want to go to the links and see why we're so sad to have to leave this home due to all the medical problems. We had planned on having a huge Ch gathering there at one time, but too late now :( Vitrual tour inside and out of our home: (Click on red tabs for more views) http://tours.tourfactory.com/tours/tour.asp?t=224131 Little slide show of Buena Vista town and area: (We don't get nearly the snow some pics might indicate, actually much less than here in Denver) http://www.fourteenernet.com/buenavista/video/index.htm Sorry for the cheap advertisment, but I'm sitting here listening to jackhammers blasting outside and so sick of looking out the window only to see 14,000 bricks instead of 14,000 ft. beautiful mountains and the deer and bucks that lay right outside our window against the side of the house. Well, the dream almost worked :-/ Dave |

Title: Re: Cheap and desperate advertisment ... not CH Post by BMoneeTheMoneeMan on Oct 18th, 2005, 11:25am Sorry you need to sell it, Dave. Looks more like a resort ranch. How far away is your nearest neighbor? Is it really quiet there? you say 14k bricks, are they developing right near you? BEAUTIFUL mountains. Well wishes BMonee PS how much land do you have? |

Title: Re: Cheap and desperate advertisment ... not CH Post by Jimmy B. on Oct 18th, 2005, 12:21pm If you moved that house to my area...it would go for 250,000 to 300,000 easy.... :o How are the jobs in that area...? Any industry close by? If I had a job I knew I could count on...I would move out there in a heartbeat... Good luck Dave & Annette...I too can't believe no one is snatching that up. Jimmy |

Title: Re: Cheap and desperate advertisment ... not CH Post by Mr. Happy on Oct 18th, 2005, 11:48pm If 300 CHeads chipped in $500, we could have a safe haven. Granted, it's not exactly the Island we'd envisioned, but on the bright side, there's obvously no lawn maintenance, and Dave & Annette would be indentured servants for the duration. Personally, I think it has merit. RJ |

Title: Re: Cheap and desperate advertisment ... not CH Post by Annette_Emond on Oct 19th, 2005, 9:43am (Oops! Just realized I post as Annette ;) ) Well ... Not feeling well right now but figure I better answer some questions ... BMonee asks: Quote:
I'd say it's a normal street block with neighbors close by on both sides and across the street. No one behind us though to block our views. Extremely quiet area though, no kids on our block. Neighbors all stay to themselves unless anyone needs anything at all, then they are right there for you. The 14,000 bricks I mentioned is our view out our window now in this small apartment we're now living in ... in Denver. :-/ ExplodingEyeBall says: Quote:
It's mezmerizing! In the mornings there is what they call the Aspen Glow, a beautiful redish pink glow that runs down the mountains. In the afternoons, you can sometimes count up to 30 deer in the fields, plus the ones that lay in the shade just outside our window. Come evening, the sunsets are different every night and are incredible, then the fireflies start up and with the red and blue light beckon of a very small airport in the distance ... it's like a fantastic light show. At night, with no smog or city lights you can just lay back and stare for hours and all the stars. Damn, I'm getting so homesick now thinking about it! Jimmy asks: Quote:
Honestly, there are really only 4 main good paying job venues: Real Estate, Tourism (rafting, fishing, skiing, hiking, biking, etc ..., a Minimun Security Prison 3 miles out of town and the biggest area is in construction. Huge need for people of all construction trades. Most other jobs are only in the $9.00 per hour range. Randy says: Quote:
Yep, lawn matienance hadn't got the attention we planned. We have all the quotes to really fix up the front yard. The back we left as is since we had a big Husky that loved to run. Plus it had a campsite feel to it that we liked. You can see the rock garden and firepit, I was building and planned to add a stone BBQ. Also had plans for a 20' x 30' double garage. (Well ... would had built as a garage but really use it as a woodshop.) The place was built in 1994 as a Sunday School for a church at the end of the block, so with 1876 sq/ft it's very, very spacious inside. Thanks Rex and Heather for passing this on to your landlord, whoever buys this home is going to have a great investment. We wouldn't have dreamed of letting it go this cheap if we didn't need to be in Denver for doctors and medical bills. At least we were fortunate enough for a couple years to even had the chance to live what we had dreamed of for so long, so we're at least thankful for that. Dave |

We have 10,350 sq/ft of land, which comes to about a quarter acre. Dave |
