than last. Worked Saturday 7a to 7p. Someone brought me a nice big drink of coffee..about 16 oz cup.
Never gave it a second thought about whether it was decalf or not, but about 2 hours later, the old heart started doing a dance.

I know right away what it was. I've had them since I ws 17. They're called PAC's (premature atrial contactions) and for me, it's caffine that sets them off. When they get too numerous, I go into atrial fib which can be serious. So, about 9:00pm I went to the ER and I was going in and out of a-fib. It eventually went back into normal rhythm, but what a dope I was for drinking the caffine.

Never again....I swear!! It's scarey no matter how often it happens. The medical way of straightening the rhythm out is by a drug called Corvert, which can stop the heart of certain people, or electro cardioversion...the paddles. I had the Corvert once and it worked, after two doses and then they threatened me with admission and the paddles in the morning. Scared me right into sinus rhythm and I went home a couple of hours later.

Hey Chuck........you know what I'm talking about?

Too much caffine is really a bad thing for anybody.
