Title: Re: Picture for Thursday 8^) Post by LeLimey on Oct 14th, 2005, 4:12am And here was me thinking chillies came from the supermarket! ::) learn something new everyday I say! Thanks Paul that was lovely, do they go red on the plant though or ripen once off it? I've never seen them growing - we don't exactly have the climate here.. |

Title: Re: Picture for Thursday 8^) Post by deltadarlin on Oct 14th, 2005, 7:51am From what I found, Tabasco peppers change to orange and red when they're completely ripe. We've raised all kinds of peppers in the past and I found the best way to keep them is to let them ripen fully, string them on a thread/cord and let them dry out. Then you can take what you need, if you want the flavor more than the hot, you can seed the peppers and just use the skin. Vig, It looks like that morning glory is *hot* for the tabasco plant ::) darlin |
