Title: After almost 22 years
Post by Ronny on Oct 12th, 2005, 4:55pm
My daughter is leaving me  :'(

She's gonna live with her boyfriend, not far from here, only 1 Km. But still...
It's heartbreaking.

I know we cant keep them forever (i wish i could) but it seems like yesterday she was a little girl.
She is a teacher now, teaching in a school for the blind (graduated in june).

I love her so much, she's my first baby, i was only 21 when we had her.

Well, at least i have 4 more children at home to take care off, i hope it's not gonna be this bad every time someone leaves the house.

I'm not usually the rant person but i had to write it off me.

Thanks for letting me.

At least she won't be too far....
I was separated from my family for 17 years after I left for the US.... didn't see them for that long.

So, consider yourself lucky! ;)

Cheers,
Rex

Things will be all right.

1 km? tsk tsk. I moved more than 400 km when I moved in with my squeeze. Still had a hell of a time keeping the parents away. http://www.netsync.net/users/charlies/gifs/here sweets.gif

To tell you the truth, Ronny, it just gets harder.  There are those moments when you can't wait to get the last one out so you and the missus can have a little peace and quiet, but those doesn't last long.

I've got one out who is a 12 hour drive away and another who is 18 and will graduate this year and one who is 16 who can't wait to graduate (2007) and is talking about going to college halfway across the country.

On the bright side, there are always grand children.

Oh Mike! Sahara is just adorable! And growing fast, too!
Me? I still have one grown one at home. And 2 of the grandkids. By the time I'm done with mooshie...I will have been raising kids for over 40 years.
While I want them close... I really could use a break, LOL. nani...who's counting the years...

Ronny, you sound like such an awesome Dad.  Separation anxiety I think is worse for parents sometimes.

I dread the day when Crystal goes off to college or gets married or whatever.  Perhaps she’ll let me buy her a house next to mine… :-/

Mike, your grand-daughter is adorable!  ;;D
