Title: Methocarbam
Post by Carl_D on Oct 4th, 2005, 10:16am
I got some sleep (around 6 hours total) but I paid hell for it too. Got hit 3 times, and got sick again last night (not due to the CH). Feel like hell today, and too much to do yet again.

BTW - Yesterday while walking I was dozing off. It was weird. I would literally start to zone out and awake walking off the sidewalk, ino trees, etc. My Doc prescribed a different muscle relaxer called Methocarbam. I have to say, it worked better than Flexeril or Zanaflex so far. I just hope I can get more sleep tonight. Right now I feel like a zombie looks. My brain's not even on autopilot. That has even shut off!

Carl,

I'm assuming you mean Methocarbamol which is Robaxin. A popular muscle relaxant. Below is a good site for info on it.

Well, now you're getting somewhere on the sleep issue anyways.  Maybe you just need to let your brain shut down and let your mind and body get the rest they need.

Hope the new med works for you.

PF Sleep vibes headed your way, bro!

Mike

I think alot 'or most' of the muscle relaxants make you make you Zombie'ish.......after all aren't zombie's pretty laid back ? I don't care for most of that stuff 'cuz of that' fact.....maybe late at nite if nothin is goin on and I am hurtin real bad. Generally my energy is the only thing that keeps me goin Pam

All I been doin is havein nitemares........sleep isn't always good SLEEP...........glad yer gettin some of it tho !!!!

Mega super vicious nightmares, but hey - what's new?

I feel like hell, but did managed to cop more Zzzzz last night and think I will tonight as well. This new muscle relaxer is way better that Flexeril and Zanaflex (which basically felt like they did nothing. This actually brings the muscle cramps and spasms down to a tolerable level. Too early to tell, but this might help with the restless legs too.
Peace,
Mack

Restless leg is WIERD......I have a white tiger face tattoo on my calve muscle with black work around it and for entertainment esp in the mornings I like to sit and watch it move !!! Looks more like my leg is due to give birth to a litter of puppies........that is some strange stuff. I used to BANG my feet and legs on the wall as a kid cuz they tingled and felt like they were vibrateing but I didn't realize what it was and by nature did that. Mom would yell at me when I got carried away so I'd sit in my window and watch the dark neighborhood till almost dawn. Still wierd after all these years Pam

Suma them meds can be responsible for makein ya feel like crap tho or not gettin better.......lot of people get caught up in it and don't figure it out. So jus pay attention to how ya feel !!! I hate flexeril, paxil and neurontin.........bad bad bad for me............ :P
