Title: Somebody asked - Why is it? Post by FrankW on Sep 28th, 2005, 2:40am Because a relative gentle - max Kip7 - cycle ended. For a year - nothing - just work and the fun of a new daughter - now 10 months old. Felt a bit of a fraud alongside some real sufferers. NOW I remember just how painful Kip10 is - waking up at 3 AM with that horrible sinking knowledge - 4 or 5 more times in 24 hours - crying from one eye and then both when it finally bloody well passes. Banging my head on a wall while my wife is saying there must be something the doctors can do - and getting upset when I tell her suicide might work - but I doubt it. Having yet another Doctors receptionist tell me if it is just a migraine I get regularly - an appointment next week should be OK - why am I being nasty? I haven't really had this shit this hard for about 10 years - now I remember I have had it for almost 50 years. I remember this from when the sputnik was launched. I thought it was supposed to bloody well go away when I got older - no bloody justice - I get all the other disadvantages of age. No - thats not fair - just feel like that right now. Worry not folks - I am not yet depressed from this - just frustrated and miserable and unhappy. AND! very glad you guys are here. Frank (The real FrankW) |

Title: Re: Somebody asked - Why is it? Post by LeLimey on Sep 28th, 2005, 3:13am Hi Frank its nice to see you again! The other Frank W has been able to get his old handle back so he is jeepgun again! Now that you are back I have a bone to pick with you. >:( I'm not a happy Helen! You come here and have the cheek to tell us about your 10 month old daughter and NO PICS?! Thats not very friendly is it?! WE WANT PICS!! It is frustrating when no one understands, particularly in the medical community. All of us here go through some real troughs of depression about it sometimes so we understand exactly what you mean. Thats what makes this place so good, when you come home you know you are understood [smiley=hug.gif] It is supposed to go away as you get older ... maybe this is nature's way of telling you that you are only a spring chicken yet?! :) Take care, we're always here okay? Helen PS check your IM's in a minute please! |

Title: Re: Somebody asked - Why is it? Post by Carl_D on Sep 28th, 2005, 6:57am Hang in there Frank. If you went for 10 years in between cycles, maybe this cycle will be brief and you can go for another 10 years without the beast. Some people do outgrow them, some start getting them late in life (my buddy's dad started getting them when he was 69). Just remember, you're not alone and you can always come here to vent. Peace, Carl D |
