We've been having our offices re-floored. We have a small, four room office, and there's just Bill, the owner, and me working at this company. Starting last Thursday, I came in at 7:30 am I had to empty all the shelving of our sell sheets, binders, office supplies, miscellaneous crap and box it all. Bill (who is 70) and I (who is not a spring chicken), then moved all the boxes using a hand cart to a vacant office next door. Went home at 6:30 pm and soaked in a hot whirlpool.

Friday, in again 7:30 AM, had to try to get as much computer work done as possible because in the afternoon I had to break down my computer system, which consists of the usual, CPU, monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers, printer. Add to that a flatbed scanner, digitizer that weighs about 1000 lbs, and a plotter that's humongus, but on wheels thank God. Left at 7:00 PM and soaked in a hot whirlpool bath.

Weekend relief - I soaked all weekend and did nothing except take care of my very sore back muscles.

Yesterday morning I was in at 7:00 AM, and at 8:30 am, the flooring people came, short handed. Two of their guys just bailed? :-/ We had a guy and his sister, who laid tile and carpet in my office and Bill's office. So Monday afternoon, I spent the time putting my office and the computer system back together. Guess what - naturally something didn't work, even though when breaking it down I labeled EVERY STINKING WIRE. Also, put Bill's office back together. Left for home at 7:00 PM and soaked in the whrilpool bath.

Today, in at 7:15, flooring people show up at 8:00 on the dot, again, the just guy and his sister. But, they made short work of the other two rooms laying carpet and were out by noon (they were good!). Now, Bill and I, with the hand cart, haul all the boxes of sell sheets, supplies, crap back in to our office, and I start re-filling the shelves.

As I write this, my computer clock says 6:53 PM, Bill went home at 6:00, and I'm going home now. But, I'm not gonna soak, I'm gonna suck - - - - down some booze!

I'm leaving for a long weekend trip to the beach on Thursday morning, so I'll probably be here until 7:00 again tomorrow night. But, four blissful days of not being in this office will be HEAVEN! ;;D

Sorry for venting, but I am GD TIRED!

Yuck... I hate hard work.
Have a great time Sandy!! Be sure to schedule an extra long massage while you're away. Preferably by a 25 year old hot guy. ;)
