I've tried to call for two days.....trouble on the line. I guess the phones went out right after she call here the day of the storm. Anyway.....just had a call form a friend of Jeans (he's also a sheriff). Jean managed to find a pay phone that worked. They are stranded at the lake....no power, no phone and no gasoline to leave. Everyone is fine...but getting tired.

Just wanted you all to know.....they are all OK ..... I figured some were wondering and trying to get in touch with her. It may be a few more days....

They have plenty of food and water...everything they need EXCEPT power, phone and gasoline.... :( They have a generator and it's keeping the frig running and a few other essentials. She's just short on patience by now....if I know my friend.... :P It's been a long week for her.

Jackie, you got my number, keep me updated. Just got committed to transporting special needs patients back to approved places down south. We don't do this, if i make the first run tomorrow and don't have a letter from the gov. of La. covering me for liabiality I wont make any more. A couple of days outta cover this crap, If Jean aint out I will head that way with gas, they can fire my redneck little ass. Was looking for a new fucking job anyway!

can anyone get to her? if so im me her address, going up that way on Oct. 1st. will see if I can get to her & take her gas or get them out !!

Den..

She's on Toledo Bend....about half way up state LA.

She and the family are OK....just having bad bout of cabin fever.

Should be able to get out in a day or so .....
Talked to Redneck this morning...he's gonna give her a couple days....if things aren't better by then he's going after her Texas a$$... ;;D

thank you so much Jackie I was getting very worried. We're getting NO news here on much of anything from Rita so I was beginning to wonder what the hell had happened on Jean's end.

I know how she must be feeling right now. It's CRAZY in the days after...........we as ppl are just NOT used to having to wait to get out of our homes, waiting to be able to go where you want is just not our usual.

Jean, hope you are back to "semi" normal real soon honey, cuz God knows...........normal takes time............something we're gonna have to learn to be patient with here.

And, now, if you here from her again..........lol, only SHE would get a hold of a sheriff to use the phone............please tell her to LET ME KNOW if she wants me there and what does she need.

Redneck, if you head that way, please let us know.

YES!!!!!!!

Jean just called....phone service is restored for now but she's not sure how long that will last. The power is still out but the crews are getting closer so maybe power by tomorrow. The neighbors came in yesterday (3 hour drive for them) and brought food, ice, another generator, a small window air conditioner, etc. They were tickled to see them for sure.

Jeans says to tell you all that they are "perfectly fine".

She'll talk to you all soon.....
