Title: Re: Whatcha listening too this weekend? Post by Carl_D on Sep 24th, 2005, 8:06pm Right now I'm listening to the few tracks I have been able to find of the new Coheed & Cambria - Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV (which you gave me the heads up on Sean...thanks again bro). That opening track just kills!!! His voice sounds so much like a very young Geddy Lee. Judging from the 'concept album' and everything - I've got ten bucks that says they listened to alot of Rush. The opening track here also reminds me of something off of the first Yngwie Malmsteem - Rising Force album as far as the classical feel. http://burningstariv.com/ Also listening to the new "FranzFerdinand - You Could Have It So Much Better." That concert last night was one of the most awesome shows I have ever seen, and I've seen lots of shows in my time. The opening band "Cut Copy" was okay, while what I saw of the 2nd act "Pretty Girls Make Graves" was very good. Franz Ferdinand... all I can say is [smiley=bow.gif] [smiley=bow.gif] [smiley=bow.gif] [smiley=bow.gif] Spent the morning lisetening to an oldies compilation disc I made with golden classics such as "Shaving Cream", Bobby Vinton "Roses Are Red", Johnny Cash "A Boy Named Sue", Johnny Horton "The Battle of New Orleans"... that one sent a goosebump when it came on. Don't have a track listing on the disc and forgot what all was on it (I made 3 different discs full of old stuff from my childhood). Will throw in some Andreas Vollenweider later in hopes of easing myself for some shuteye. Peace, Mack |

Title: Re: Whatcha listening too this weekend? Post by alienspacebabe on Sep 25th, 2005, 8:14pm When the rain is blowing in your face And the whole world is on your case I could offer you a warm embrace To make you feel my love When the evening shadows and the stars appear And there is no one there to dry your tears I could hold you for a million years To make you feel my love I know you haven't made your mind up yet But I would never do you wrong I've known it from the moment that we met No doubt in my mind where you belong I'd go hungry, I'd go black and blue I'd go crawling down the avenue There's nothing that I wouldn't do To make you feel my love The storms are raging on the rollin' sea And on the highway of regret The winds of change are blowing wild and free You ain't seen nothing like me yet I could make you happy, make your dreams come true Nothing that I wouldn't do Go to the ends of the earth for you To make you feel my love |
