The storm skirted us...it was much milder than i ever imagined. Obviously we even have power. We have a dozen rain storms a year worse than this.

thanks for everyone's calls and concern. I gotta get these boards off the windows...tomorrow...i'll do it tomorrow.

I'm preparing some photos of Jonah for Nancy. She said she hadn't seen any so I'll post some more ASAP for you Nancy. She was asking about Barb D and her relationship to Rita. If she hasn't already posted ...please do .Nancy is concerned about ya.

Barb D is fine. We got some rain and wind (lots of wind). Knocked the power out in the metropolis of Gladewater, so I came to Shreveport when Mr. D decided he didn't like the heat and humidity (not to mention the drop in barometer). Power here and COLD A/C, so he finally decided to go visit somewher else last night and I slept fine. Some trees limbs down in yard, but everything else looked fine. We had worse storms than this during the one in July (Elsie or Dixie or whoever she was).

I gotta a question????? Why do ALL the hurricaines hit in the gulf?? Is the Pacific off limits or what. Not wishing them on CA, but WE'VE had enough this year!!!! And the darn weatherman says we've still got another two months to go and we're running out of names and will have to go to the Greek alphabet next. Heck they can't even pronounce Biloxi - how do you think they'll handle the Greek Alphabet??????

So glad you're OK Barb. I've been wondering if you were in La or Texas..inland or where. Glad to hear that things are OK with you. Thanks for reporting.

Maybe we'll just name the next series with names like Annapolis or Metropolis or something Greek like that. Anyone know any B or C Greek words?
