Title: Phone call with  Nurse from my doctor.
Post by LadyElaine on Sep 15th, 2005, 4:22pm
Two weeks ago today I had blood work done. Two weeks ago my doctor gave me meds for Bronicites I ran out of meds and still have it.

Here is the phone call between me and the Nurse that called.

nurse  - Hi is this Johnnie

me - Yes it is

Nurse- This is Sue from Primary Care. Dr Blake wanted me to call you. We got your Blood work back. Your tryglicens (sp) are high 393 they should be 200 your clorestrol is 437 should be 150
We need you to stop taking the zorcor.

Me- I haven't taken Zorcor in over a year.

Nurse - Well you won't have to stop taking it then ! Dr Blake wants to put you on vytorin, we are going to call it in for you.

Me - I got sick on Lipitor and when I did take zocor my joins hurt. Does this have the same side effects?

Nurse - I don't know. Dr Blake would not put you on any thing that would hurt you.

Me - What about the bronicits? I still have it, but I have taken all the meds.

Nurse- You can come back in and Dr. Blake will take another xray and we will see what is going on.

Me - To start with Dr. Blake has never had a xray taken, only Blood work!

Nurse - Well come in and he will order one. It will be a week before we can get you in to see him. He will be out of town till the 26th. Is there any thing else you need?

Me- Yea but its a waste of time. My drug store number is -----------

Nurse- when Dr. Blake comes back you come in and see him , if you don't feel better.

Me - Thanks if I am still alive I will think about it. You have a good day.

Nurse - You to Mrs Holloman

Oh god... I'm too familiar with this type of conversation.
They may as well use pre-recorded questions and answers.
How pathetic!!!!! :-X

This is when looking like I do comes in handy (Its about the only time)......When I go to a docs office nobody forgets me, if they have to call me they know what they are dealing with....LMMFAO ;;D

Draw back is that the first thing I have to tell a new doc is "Im not here for drugs"  ;)

Elaine,

Maybe ask them about Pravachol?  (At least I think that's how it is spelled...)

When my dad was in the hospital this week, the doc told him that Pravachol has less incidence of the muscle destroying side effects than lipitor.  My dad was on Lipitor and Tricor..and now he's off both of them until he sees our family doc.

Please stay safe!!

Love ya,
Lizzie2/Carrie :)

Hmmm... nurses don't even call me. One doc did once, but only to say that she had discussed my case with another doc and she didn't feel brave enough to give me any meds whatsoever after dopeymax. Yup, that's what every chronic clusterhead wants to hear... ::)

Jonny, can I take a pic of you with me the next time I go to see a doc and tell that you're my brother? ;;D That should give me a better service... ;)

Sanna ;)
