Haven't had the time to listen to anything but the EKG machine, the other heart monitor, and the bubbles of flem in my Mother's chest as she attempts to breathe.  Came home last night to try to actually get a little rest.

Cassette tapes that my late radio broadcaster friend from Wichita sent me years ago. You wouldn't like the radio nostalgia programs he put together.

He was an old customer of mine.

Tonight, I will be listening to this guy.
We're taking Mackenzie to see him play tonight.

Ralph Covert. He also plays with a regional band called "The Bad Examples" that plays more college aged stuff.

Imagine children's music that doesn't suck. The music is awesome with lyrics geared towards kids so that the whole family can enjoy it.

After listening to all of the craziness here all night and day, not being able to sleep, etc. I have been in a somewhat pissy mood so the tuneage has been all heavy the last two days:

System of A Down - Mezmerize (amazing disc)
Slipknot - Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses
My Chemical Romance - Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge
Pantera - Vulgar Display of Power
Black Flag - My War
Mudvayne - ld 50
Disturbed - The Sickness
Murderdolls - Beyond The Valley of The Murderdolls
Shadows Fall - Compilation
Arch Enemy - Nemesis

currently listening to the heart-stirring sounds of King Diamond.

And to think I started the week off listening to Jeff Buckley, PJ Harvey and Kings X.

Sheesh...

Anathema - Eternity 1996

Truly one of the rainiest, saddest pieces of art I've ever listened to.  Be sure to mix with copious amounts of Van Halen to resist it's controlling grasp.... you've been warned, LOL.

I started the day off cranking some GnR "Welcome to the Jungle" since it seemed to fit. The Papa Roach fits with this place too.

Right now I have this song on loop practically:

Slipknot "Duality"

Push my fingers into my eyes...
It's the only thing that slowly stops the ache...
But it's made of all the things I have to take...
Jesus, it never ends, it works it's way inside...
If the pain goes on...
Aaaaaaaah!

I have screamed until my veins collapsed
I've waited last, my time's elapsed
Now, All I do is live with so much fate
I've wished for this, I've bitched at that
I've left behind this little fact:
You cannot kill what you did not create
I've gotta say what I've gotta say
And then I swear I'll go away
But I can't promise you'll enjoy the words
I guess I'll save the best for last
My future seems like on big past
You'll live with me 'cause you left me no choice

I push my fingers into my eyes
It's the only thing that slowly stops the ache
If the pain goes on,
I'm not gonna make it!

Pull me back together
Our seperate the skin from the bone
Leave me all the Pieces, and then you can leave me
alone
Tell me the reality is better than dream
But I found out the hard way,
Nothing is what it seems!

I push my fingers into my eyes
It's the only thing that slowly stops the ache
But it's made of all the thing I have to take,
Jesus, it never ends, it works it's way inside
If the pain goes on,
I'm not gonna make it!

All I've got...all I've got is insane...
All I've got...all I've got is insane...
All I've got...all I've got is insane!
All I've got...all I've got is insane!

I push my fingers into my eyes
It's the only thing that slowly stops the ache
But it's made of all the thing I have to take,
Jesus, it never ends, it works it's way inside
If the pain goes on,
I'm not gonna make it!

A fitting song for the fucking beast! Except we WILL make it!!!

Headbanging in every way,
Mack D
