I've looked at some motels and like the Best Western Mountain View (link below...look at menu, then Best Western).

The rates go down after 10/17... from $99. to $64.
They don't have an atrium, but the lobby is sort of private and they have an indoor pool area. I can change to the weekend of 10/22 to save $60. What do you guys think?

That works for us... as long as it's not on the 1st or last week of the month, we can get away from work.

No, honey. The Balloon Fiesta (it is New Mexico, ya know LOL ) is actually held during the first weekend in October. Are you still planning to come (to either) ? :)

Nani, your link brings up 2003 room rates. I checked with a direct link and the cheapest for those dates was $73.99... are you negotiating a rate?
Anyway... the dates would work for Dave and I... maybe.. if he can take the trip.. hope hope hope.
Looks good to me for a weekend of getting the heck out of ~~Dodge~~ Denver :D Dave and I could both use a little socializing... or maybe I should say socialization :o

BTW Rex.. you come highly recommended as a humor factor by "King Jonny". Looking forward to meeting you.

I called the motel today and got the rates. I called the hotel itself, not the 800 number. I can't negotiate a rate unless we have an idea of how many are coming.
Rexie, luv, not to worry... I can handle you. ;) My husband and kids will likely come along.
Still excited! :D
