Title: Children and Giving!
Post by LadyElaine on Sep 4th, 2005, 2:55pm
JD is 4 years old. For a four year old to give up their toys is a hard thing. He has watched all the news and seen a lot of the children that have become homeless because of this storm.
Today he told us he wanted to go through his toys and give them to these children. I like to of fell off my chair.
We have not been able to get him to part with his toys.
His Mother and JD have spent all day going through his toys. He picked out good toys, His poo bear that talks and dances. Some of his army men his trucks. Lord they came out with three big boxes of toys. I now know where OUR money went LOL. These toys are like new. JD takes good care of his things.

I think its so wonderful that the children are helping and doing their part in trying to help.

Kids they know they care even at the age of four  :)

What a great kid!!! I wonder where he could possibly get his loving and generous spirit from?  ;)
I always think it's a good idea to gently nudge little ones out of their "I'm the center of the Universe" state of mind by showing them that other kids are not always so lucky. Getting them to "give" is a life long lesson, and a very worthwhile one at that. WTG, Elaine. hugs, nani
