Title: Re: Rebel or Yankee? Post by Lizzie2 on Sep 3rd, 2005, 11:10am 50% (Yankee). Barely in the Yankee category. No idea what I got when I took this before, but that's what I got today. Figure it's because I was born in a southern state, moved to a midwest state, moved to a great lakes state, and then moved to an atlantic seaboard/slightly northeast state which also encompasses the phrase 'mischief night' prior to halloween - which they state is common in New York and New Jersey. Yeah.... that's it. LOL Jimmy you got it....'wooder' :) |

Do you ever "make a pop"? You will know exactly what that phrase means if you do! I get made fun of mercilessly for that here in Missouri. I'm a "foreigner" as they call people here that weren't born and raised in Hickville. This was my response: 30% (Yankee). You are a Yankee Doodle Dandy |

I wondered that too, since I got a 24% and it said I was a definite Yankee...but then I looked back at the top and it said the higher your score, the deeper from the South you are from. So, uffdah, that makes sense since I have an irritating Minnesotan accent, then. And I have no idea what that roll-up bug is... Chris |

Title: Yankee Confederate here! Post by daniel_tn on Sep 3rd, 2005, 7:52pm i'm an unreconstructed rebel yank. originally from boston. folks in the civil war round table thought i was some kind of a heretic, being a yankee confederate and all. of course, living in the confederacy now, well i'm kind of at home. except i miss the ocean. and having been on winstead hill today, and driving through franklin where very little of the battlefield has been saved/preserved - boy was i mad and upset. i get that way whenever i see the marker for general cleburne, and know that the site of his death is now the parking lot for a dominoes pizza makes me ill. the lack of historical appreciation in the US is a sin. sorry for the rant. my excuse: i'm having shadows all day, and waiting to get nailed with the real deal. i hate CHs. >:( |
