Why do dog's farts smell so horrible?  OMG - I am sitting here trying to read and respond on the board and Sparky is under the computer desk rippin' 'em off!  I swear I am about to put a cork up his butt!  What in the world could a dog possibly eat to make him smell that bad.  My eyes are watering... make it stop!!!

Certain dog foods seem to cause them to do it worse......esp the sulfur farts......yuk.....eyes burning nose watering !!! Certain foods do it too ya mite give em (table scraps).........as much as gas is gettin too bad we can't bottle that shit. Puns are funs Pam  ;;D

I was just thinking we should bottle it up and take it over to Iraq... we could flush out Osama in no time with that insane nastiness... or figure out a way for it to power our cars...

EEEWWW... I don't even have to be there to gag! Chicken based dog food keeps my guys less "farty". Beef based makes my life unbearable. :-/

It's especially gross when your laborador sneaks up in bed between you and hubby in the middle of the night, and lays his butt end by the pillows.  When he lets one go, both of us are up and outta there STAT!

My buddy, when I was a kid, had a doberman named Boozer. Boozer lived up to his name: There was nothing that dog loved more in the world, than beer. Doggie farts are bad. Beer farts are bad. Doggie beer farts come straight from the bowels of Hell. That damn dog could clear the HOUSE!!!

Change what you are feeding the dog.  Dogs have terribly sensative digestive systemsand consistent gas is a sign that they are distressed.  If you are giving anything from the table with salt, peper, spice, herbs, garlic, onion you could really be causing these problems.  

If you want to give your dog a treat - try fresh veggies and see if the problem subsides.

My doxie never farts...she's a lady ;;D
Actually, it's either that she's too small and the farts disappear into the air before they get to me or it's her diet.  I do hear her rip'em sometimes, but they never smell.  On the other hand, my sister's dog...this dog can evacuate a home...it's awful...

I think, like others said, diet. We had this beagle when I was a kid, he would go running off every month or so on a bunny binge, and he would show them to us, sit them on the back porch (kind of like a cat with their mousie price) and sometimes he ATE them, gross.  

He was totally a psycho dog, but no one else would love him or put up with him.  I have NEVER in my life smelled a fart like what came out of that dog.  It was not just the stench, it was the LINGER quality of the thing, like it had a life of it's own, like it was an invisible solid, not a gas.  His gas was DEATH reincarnated.  

I love comic relief topics, I had a bi$%^ of a headache last night, first one in months....thanks for giving me something to laugh about.
