I no more than posted that we had the IRS paid and our air condition went out. The compresser is shot.
I must be losing my mind cause I am laughing. It will be next week before they can fix it. I have no idea what the cost will be but tonight was a $90 charge!
OH well shit happens!

Pray for rain here and cool weather, they won't be able to put it in till Tuesday! Clusters , hot flashes , heat. This is a disaster. Send ice packs :-)!

When I get a bad hot flash, Elaine. I just open my freezer door, clear a space, and lay my head in it. Hope that helps.... :-/

Yep, Elaine, you're so right. Shit happens sometimes and it just plain dee sucks or stinks!!!

OR, it could be worse and be diahreah (sp??) then your ass would hurt as all hell too!!!!

Sorry to know you're in the heat wave with ch and hot flashes to boot darling. Wishing you the best, and get our of your clothes and lay around in your bathing suit or something. ;)

Last week my ac went out (I'm In Texas) on a saturday night , I got a 2 hr. K10 and was out of meds. I doused myself with cold water to get the evaporation effect but in general it really sucked (huge understatement). If you can't stand cold water on your head, try splashing it on your chest back and shoulders.

OMG... Elaine, that exact thing happened to me while Mari was in Japan. I would have paid $1,500 for a new compressor with a one-year warranty, or $2,000 for a completely new AC unit with a 10-year warranty. Sheesh... When you're not expecting it and you don't have much in the bank, $2,000 isn't exactly chump-change.

Isn't it Murphy's law? Air conditioners around here have been going out too. Hope you got a break in the weather there and it's not so bad as its been.
I'm hoping the weather gets and stays cool here as well since the apartment I am waiting on doesn't have air conditioning.
